
5th Grade Girls - Join Girls on the Run at BEMS!
Twice per week for 10 weeks, girls will have fun, make friends, explore valuable lessons, develop positive social skills and find joy in physical activity! Trained and caring volunteer coaches lead 3th–5th grade girls through interactive lessons and running games. Practices will be held starting the week of March 4th: Tues/Thurs 3:30 - 5 pm. Registration will open on Saturday, January 14th, at 9 am, on a first come, first served basis, so grab your spot today! Bremen Elementary-Middle School proudly announces the 2nd nine-weeks awards programs to be held on Friday, January 13, 2023. Parents/guests are welcome to attend. Please enter the auditorium lobby through Door 3 off Grant Street.
8:20 a.m. - Kindergarten & 1st Grade – Bremen Honor Awards, NWEA awards (top scorer and highest growth from Fall testing per classroom and subject), Kind & Caring Kindergartner
9:15 a.m. – 2nd & 3rd Grade - Bremen Honor Awards, NWEA awards (top scorer and highest growth from Fall testing per classroom and subject), 3rd Grade Xtra Math Awards
10:30 a.m. – 4th & 5th Grade - Bremen Honor Awards, NWEA awards (top scorer and highest growth from Fall testing per classroom and subject), Honor Roll (All A’ & A’s/B’s for 2nd Nine Weeks)
2:15 p.m. - Middle School (Grades 6-8) - Bremen Honor Awards, NWEA awards (top RIT score and biggest growth from each grade level), Boys’ Basketball and Cheerleading Awards, Honor Roll (All A’s & A’s/B’s for 2nd Nine Weeks)

The Parent/Student Orientation Program for 8th graders entering High School is on Wednesday, February 1st from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Bowen Auditorium. Home-schooled and Lutheran School students are welcome to attend these orientation activities. Parents are also welcome to request a meeting. If there are any questions, or to schedule a meeting for a new student please call the Bremen High School Guidance Office at 546-3511 ext. 3354 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

A reminder that we will be having open gym Sundays from noon to 2pm. Basketball in gym B and Pickleball in Gym C (K8 Gym). Please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to our local food pantry.


Parents of 5th Grade Girls: Girls on the Run Michiana is coming to Bremen for the spring season. Registration opens this Saturday, January 14th, at 9 am. Coaches will be meeting with the girls later this week to give them more information. The program runs after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 5 pm at BEMS starting on March 7th. The season ends with a BIG 5K in South Bend on Saturday, May 20th.

Attention Parents of 8th - 11th Grade Students: All 8th-11th grade students, and their families, are invited to explore the Elkhart Area Career Center’s programs at their annual open house on Sunday, January 22nd from 1:30-3:30pm! All of their programs offer TUITION FREE college credit and/or industry certification while attending high school! Get more info from your school counselor or go to myeacc.org for more info about the programs offered.


Current Seniors and Recent Graduates the Woodies and Jeanette Rarick Scholarships are available from Mrs. Atkins in the High School Guidance office. They are available Monday - Friday from 8-3:30.

Just an FYI, BPS will host open gym on Sundays (12-2 pm) beginning this Sunday (January 8th) through the end of March. Activities will include basketball in gym B, basketball/possible pickleball in gym A, and weightlifting. The pool will not be available. Please bring a nonperishable food item for an admission donation. Enter through door 15. Please share

Elkhart Community Schools will be taking another E- learning day tomorrow, Friday December 15th. EACC will however be in session. The bus will be leaving at 7:15 am.

Although Elkhart Community Schools will have an E-learning day tomorrow, EACC students are still attending Elkhart in person! The bus will still leave at 7:15 a.m.

Coding Club has been cancelled for after school today (12/14/22).

Congratulations to Caleb Cullers who is the recipient of this year's Marshall County Lilly Scholarship! The scholarship provides for full tuition, required fees, and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and required equipment for four years at any eligible Indiana public or private school. We are incredibly proud of Caleb and look forward to his bright future!


Correction from the Parent Bulletin - The 3rd -5th grade Christmas Concert will be on Monday, December 12th not the 13th.

All FFA Members are reminded that our citrus delivery from Florida will be here at noon on Tuesday December 6th. Please make arrangements to pick everything up after school. If you have any questions, please direct them to Mr. Berger or Mrs. Schafer in the Agriculture department.

Tonight's 6th grade boys basketball game at LaVille has been postponed. The game has been tentatively rescheduled for December 8th. The team will practice right after school tonight until 4:30 pm in the middle school gym.

Bremen WRESTLING Kids' Camp 2022: On December 8, 12, and 13, students in K-6 are invited to join the HS wrestling team in a camp from 5:30 - 6:45 pm. Students who attend the camp are also invited to come to the HS home meet versus South Bend Washington. The cost of the camp is $30 and convers entrance to the home meet and a camp t-shirt. Cash or checks made payable to the B Wresting Club will be accepted. Camp forms can be picked up in the elementary or middle school offices.
