Today's professional devlopment training is focused on utilizing the NWEA data to increase student achievement for our students. NWEA, formerly known as the Northwest Evaluation Association, is a research-based not-for-profit organization that creates academic assessments for students pre-K-12. NWEA assessments are used by over 9,500 schools and districts in 145 countries.

Parent-teacher conferences for K-8 parents will be held in person this year. Forms should be coming home with students this week. Be sure forms are completed and returned as soon as possible.
Tomorrow night's BEMS PTO meeting has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.
VIRTUAL LEARNING DAY IS THIS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23! Virtual learning days are preplanned days that are built into our annual academic calendar. During these scheduled days, students will be working off-site completing lessons assigned by their classroom teachers that best fit a continuation of their daily curriculum. During this day, staff members also participate in planned staff-development activities to help hone their professional skills. Instructors will be available by email to answer questions regarding the assignments.

Bremen Public Schools is looking for a Crossing Guard to work at Whitlock and Plymouth Streets. The crossing guard is needed for approximately 1/2 hour before school (7:30 to 8:00) and 1/2 hour after school (3:00 to 3:30). Thursday mornings are 7:50 to 8:20. Mobile Dentist is coming to Bremen Public Schools on October 19th. If you have a high school student that needs a form, you may pick one up from the HS office. If you have a K-8 student and need a form, please contact the nurse's office. All Mobile Dentist forms must be returned on or before Monday, September 19th. No late forms will be accepted.
Southwire’s Project GIFT is hosting an Electronics Recycling event this Friday, September 16th at Woodies Supermarket in Bremen from Noon – 4 p.m. You are invited to bring any E-waste that you may have piled up in storage at your schools. Any old computers, printers, tablets, TV’s etc…

Friday is PTO Hat Day at BEMS! Students will pay $1.00 to wear their favorite hat during the school day. Please encourage your children to participate in this PTO fundraiser!! We are trying to build our fund back up with quick, fun and easy fundraisers so we can start fulfilling the needs/wants of our teachers and staff!
