The nurse’s office has an overwhelming amount of prescription medications that are no longer used or are expired. This includes albuterol inhalers, albuterol solution (for nebulizers), epi pens, and pill form medications. These meds will need picked up prior to the end of the year or you may call or email the nurse and request that your student’s meds remain at school. Otherwise these medications will be properly discarded in preparation for the next school year. Thank you. khorner@bps.k12.in.us

The Bremen High School Band received word late last week that we officially received the 2022 Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) All-Music Award. Bremen High School is thrilled to be the recipient of this honor, as the ISSMA All-Music Award is given only to a select group of schools that show excellence in all parts of their band program. The receive this award, schools had to receive gold (superior) ratings in the Marching Band Regionals, the State Solo/Ensemble Festival, the Jazz Band Festival, and the Concert Band Festival. Matthew Sutton, the band director is elated. "Receiving this award really highlights the incredible work our students have been doing here in Bremen. I am so proud of their strong work ethic and dedication to excellence." Madison Kucera, a senior flute player, is thankful. "I know there's a lot of places where this kind of program isn't possible, and so I'm grateful to be a part of Bremen Band. This program has given me a chance to make friends and music in a way that no other class can." Only 63 of the 682 high schools (9%) in Indiana achieved this distinction. In Marshall County, Bremen joins Plymouth and Triton high schools in sharing this honor for the 2022 school year. On May 20 at 7:30 pm, the Bremen Concert Band, along with the Jazz Band, Show Choir, and special guest the Penn Chamber Orchestra, will be performing a free concert in Bowen Auditorium at Bremen High School.
