Alumni Achievement: Brian Shumaker ('90)
"I joined the Air Force shortly after graduation and served as an Intelligence Analyst for 3 yrs. Was a civilian from 1993-2000 then joined the Air Force again in 2000. I was a F-16 Crew Chief, served 2 tours in Iraq in support of Iraqi Freedom 3 tours to Korea and 1 tour at an undisclosed location in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Lived in 6 different countries and have been to 30 more.
My biggest accomplishment was growing individuals and teams into successful, and effective leaders.
I also spent 4 years with the United States Air Force Demonstration Squadron "Thunderbirds." I retired in 2020 and moved back to Bremen in 2021 where I have been the Commander of the Bremen VFW and the Vice President of the Bremen Chamber of Commerce.
I also own and operate a bbq business, Baby Dragon BBQ and developing a Veteran retreat called Patriot Place in Plymouth."
