ATTENTION PARENTS OF 8th GRADERS: Next week the high school counselors will be visiting Mrs. Dennie's Colllege & Careers classes to begin the process of scheduling 8th graders for high school classes. On Wednesday, February 1st, from 6-7 pm in the Bowen Auditorium, Freshmen Orientation Night is scheduled. At this time you will receive your child's HS packet with classes that have been recommended/selected. Please mark this date on your calendar and plan to attend.
5th Grade Girls - Join Girls on the Run at BEMS!
Twice per week for 10 weeks, girls will have fun, make friends, explore valuable lessons, develop positive social skills and find joy in physical activity! Trained and caring volunteer coaches lead 3th–5th grade girls through interactive lessons and running games. Practices will be held starting the week of March 4th: Tues/Thurs 3:30 - 5 pm. Registration will open on Saturday, January 14th, at 9 am, on a first come, first served basis, so grab your spot today! The Parent/Student Orientation Program for 8th graders entering High School is on Wednesday, February 1st from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Bowen Auditorium. Home-schooled and Lutheran School students are welcome to attend these orientation activities. Parents are also welcome to request a meeting. If there are any questions, or to schedule a meeting for a new student please call the Bremen High School Guidance Office at 546-3511 ext. 3354 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
A reminder that we will be having open gym Sundays from noon to 2pm. Basketball in gym B and Pickleball in Gym C (K8 Gym). Please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to our local food pantry.
Parents of 5th Grade Girls: Girls on the Run Michiana is coming to Bremen for the spring season. Registration opens this Saturday, January 14th, at 9 am. Coaches will be meeting with the girls later this week to give them more information. The program runs after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 5 pm at BEMS starting on March 7th. The season ends with a BIG 5K in South Bend on Saturday, May 20th.

Attention Parents of 8th - 11th Grade Students: All 8th-11th grade students, and their families, are invited to explore the Elkhart Area Career Center’s programs at their annual open house on Sunday, January 22nd from 1:30-3:30pm! All of their programs offer TUITION FREE college credit and/or industry certification while attending high school! Current Seniors and Recent Graduates the Woodies and Jeanette Rarick Scholarships are available from Mrs. Atkins in the High School Guidance office. They are available Monday - Friday from 8-3:30.

Activities will include basketball in gym B, basketball/possible pickleball in gym A, and weightlifting. The pool will not be available. Elkhart Community Schools will be taking another E- learning day tomorrow, Friday December 15th. EACC will however be in session. The bus will be leaving at 7:15 am.

Congratulations to Caleb Cullers who is the recipient of this year's Marshall County Lilly Scholarship! The scholarship provides for full tuition, required fees, and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and required equipment for four years at any eligible Indiana public or private school. We are incredibly proud of Caleb and look forward to his bright future!
